They hand out a financial statement at the meeting. You can probably get a copy from the Board. Also if you have a specific question regarding an item, the county can assist u.

Recently in Nov they were changing some of the rules and one of the proposed changes was about not having audits. We all voted that night but still haven't seen the new rules in print yet. Probably can get it at the next meeting

Anyone can go to the Lake CountyGovernment offices in tavares and ask to review how the Association gas spent the MSBU funds. the MSBU funds are in your annualtax bill. The County sends the money back to the community.

what has happened to our once beautiful community? they say "curb appeal" tells all. we are in trouble...look at our entrance! go by orange tree, westin hills or tradds landing.....very nice entries. ride through our community.....homes where grass has been taken over by sand and weeds.....semi's parked at homes....vehicles all over yards...come trucks used a dumpsters! we are a disgrace. sure we have a new basket ball court...pat pat someones back...new pool....new tables and umbrellas....sure but what the heck is happening to the community itself??? we have laws here and many are breaking these laws and what is the board doing about it.....not a blasted thing. it makes me down right mad and sad. many people here work hard at keeping their places up and others just sit back and let their place turn to trash! come on people....we have laws to abide by. we have a board that should be doing something about it. if they are afraid, afraid to lose a vote or two, let the management company handle these law breakers. bring back our once beautiful greater groves. an hurry!!

In spite of all you say the park looks good. They need to clean up the one on Nectarine or plant something. In case you are interested they (the Board) can't not cite people it is their fiduciary responsibility to do everything to protect our financial investment.

Does anyone ever answer the questions...........what is the name of the Management Company. At one of the meetings, I thought they said they hired Steve? Thanks for any information. I tried the other site.

I suppose to a budget, they'd have to have meetings. Apparently they've become a quartely thing or sumthing. the May meeting is scheduled for June 19th. I'm sure that the President is still getting paid big bucks for all his landscaping prowess (Really apparent at the main entrance) and his cleaning anilities. According to the board's own published budget report, he was paid $27,340 for the July to December 2011 budget period. I think I need to get my tractor out of the garage......

Well he was working last week and blew everything to the other side of the road.
I think we would pay the same no matter who we hire.
I heard he is sodding shortly so that will make it look better

Maybe the next meeting will have more information. The soda machine was costly but I am hoping that it will pay for itself. It showed the cost of the machine and the products but no intake but maybe it is too soon. I guess if we need more specifics we have to ask. I have been asking for the Mang comp and still no one posts it here. Wonder if the Board ever checks it and sends ans to people

The soda machine.....a lot of cans of soda will need to be bought and sold to pay off the investment in the machine. It might take years!
The management company, yep the president said there WAS TO BE a management company and yes it was to be Steve. That was months ago and still nothing. Wonder why? We need someone in here that doesn't have to be afraid of steping on someones toes and lose votes yet get things done. I think the only way that can be accomplished is get many more owners to attend meetings and let the board know that we want a management company in here. The we want to see the bids on lawn maintainence, pool care and whatever else goes out to bid. In this economy I bet we can save a lot of money.
With WAWA's convenience store coming into the neighborhood.....are we going to lose out wall that is not on our property?? What was Greater thinking?
Has anyone taken a ride throughout our community? If not, do so.....it is so sad.
If every owner could get 2 other owners to attend the next neeting......I bet we could get things done!

It isn't all the Board's fault. Take a look at the colors people are painting their houses. What were they thinking? I thought there was approved color scheme
